A new currency for Croatia

Croatia started using Euro currency yesterday (01).

They have joined the EU and will now have a non-EU passport.

As of last December 31st, Croatia has withdrawn from using their Kuna currency.

Accordingly, Greece becomes the 20th country to use the Euro currency.

Currently, all countries of the European Union use the Euro currency, and Croatia is the last country in the European Union to join the use of the Euro currency.

Thus, there is also the opportunity to travel freely through the 27 countries of the Schengen area. The border post between the two countries was opened yesterday.

The Slovenian and Croatian Ministers of Interior attended the event.
